FARMbloomington – Bloomington, Indiana

Chef Daniel Orr opened FARMbloomington restaurant in 2008. The menu offerings and ambience reflect Chef Orr’s travels and family. Guests can enjoy locally sourced seasonal produce and the bounty of Indiana farmers. Chef Orr believes all good cooking begins with great ingredients with many of the recipes calling for local honey, sorghum, jams, jellies, and other local products. Chef Daniel Orr and his chefs create seasonally inspired dinner menus and daily specials that change with the availability of local ingredients. The cooking team also grows many of the herbs used in the summer months. They forage for wild herbs, greens, cattail pollen, and mushrooms during the warmer months. Many of the foraged items are made into vinegars, sauces, chutneys, and purees to be used all year long.

The FARMkitchen and FARMmarket Café both focus on reducing waste as well as composting year-round. Their compost bins include: coffee grounds, eggshells, vegetable peelings, preparation food scraps and table waste.

Check-out why FARMbloomington has been winning awards, a thoughtful curated dining experience awaits you.

About Indiana Grown
The Indiana Grown initiative aims to not only form a clearer designation of which products truly come from Indiana, but to also help Hoosier consumers easily identify and buy these products. We truly believe everyone has a chance to share in the success of the initiative; whether it’s a large or small operation, high-tech or low-tech, traditional or non-traditional.
