One acre. . .one farmer. . .growing cut-flowers, herbs and vegetables on a small slice of farm land located on the eastern edge of Posey County.
From sunflowers to lisianthus, a wide selection of long-lasting locally grown floral product is available for florists and designers to choose from. Custom bouquets are also available direct from the farm.
Whether you are an on-the-go eater or serious cook, my specialty tomatoes, garlic, basil, new potatoes, snacking cucumbers, dill, summer squash and more represent the irresistible flavors of summer’s bounty waiting for you.
Each day brings the reminder of the rich farming history of the surrounding lands and of simpler times as the original one-room Darnell School, constructed in 1890, still stands just to the southeast of the farm. From this, I strive to care for our land and environment as it deserves to be cared for and to grow for you the best mother nature has to offer.
Visit me weekly at the Historic Newburgh Farmers' Market and monthly on the fourth Thursday evening at the Riverbend Market in Mt. Vernon, as well as online at Marketwagon.com. Farm visits are also welcome.
