Bell’s Strawberry Farm raises strawberries, asparagus and Doberman puppies.
The Bells have been raising juicy red strawberries in Hagerstown, Indiana since 1985. This award winning family takes great pride in producing some of the finest berries in the Hoosier State. In 2006 the the Bell’s were chosen as the Indiana Farm Family of the Year. The secret to Bell’s sweet tasting strawberries is a combination of rich clay loam soil, deep clean well water, God’s rain, lots of sunshine, and a bunch of hard work.
Picking Strawberries and making family memories is easily enjoyed by both young and old. The Bells work hard to take the hard work out of you enjoying juicy Indiana strawberries. Parking is provided close to the fields. There are lots of big shade trees and a swing set in the yard for kids. It is not uncommon for some folks to bring a picnic basket and make their berry picking a day long family outing. Children are always welcome in the fields however it is best to leave pets at home.
Have no fear if your knowledge of strawberries is limited to eating them. The Bells are always willing to take time and share picking techniques, and tips on how to make them last longer once you get them home. Debbie is always ready to share her favorite strawberry recipes. The Bells will provide everything you need for a day of fun including containers for picking. The only thing you need to bring is an appetite for mouth watering sweet red strawberries, and a desire to have a “berry” good time.
